Hair straightening tips?!?

i really want to straighten my hair but how do i do it in 30 minutes? i have thich hair and i have a Chi. my hair's super curly

Hair straightening tips?!?

it only takes me about 20 minutes all together when i straighten my hair. i also have super curly hair so when i blow dry it i blow it dry with a round brush so it will be semi straight once it's dry.. then i just run the flat iron over it to make it smoother

: )bae

Hair straightening tips?!?

Personally the best thing to do is blow dry, and quickly run the straightner through. A chi will do the job.

Hair straightening tips?!?

umm blow drying it after you get put of the shower and then doing it in sections

FLAT OUT by Kms

Hair straightening tips?!?

You know, my answer was gonna be "one word, "CHI"", but since you already have one, I'm not sure what to say :-)

Hair straightening tips?!?

take small sections not large sections, and always use a wide tooth comb and a serum

Hair straightening tips?!?

Same thing with me.

What I do is comb it and just blow dry it a couple of minutes after I come out of the shower. That way it's just way. Then just start seperating the hair, and take small sections and start straightening it.

It's much faster and easier.

Hair straightening tips?!?

I have curly hair too. The most important thing is to buy yourself a really nice straightener. It's less likely to damage your hair, and it will stay straight for longer. Using a bit of straightening gell helps get you hair under control before you straighten, but be careful not to use too much.

Hair straightening tips?!?

I have super thick curly hair also.

I straighten it everyday by clipping it up in sections, then taking each down and straightening it one section at a time. Usually only takes around 10 minutes now.

Hair straightening tips?!?

You can't do it in 30 minutes. Not if you are doing it yourself and want it done right. You and I have the same hair, except that mine is long.

*Wash your hair

*Use a really good conditioner

*Get a Frizz Serum, Heat Protector, apply these while your hair is still wet, you can use more serum for shine after you're done straightening it.

*Part hair in half, roll one side up in a bun.

* With lose side bring a strand of hair from the bottom of your head (Back of your neck) and start drying there.

Dry from the bottom up, and you should be done.

I use a large round closed bristle brush.

Hair straightening tips?!?

The most important thing is moisturizer if you straighten. Motions leave in conditioner is great for curly hair. I used to have a $140 straightening iron I got from a salon, but a friend got me one off TV, the Maxiglide( $80?), and I like it better because you can use steam as you straighten and it doesn't dry it out as much. This is great it only takes me 5 minutes when my hair is dry. I have wavy-medium thickness of hair. Otherwise you have to blowdry 1st.

Hair straightening tips?!?

Ok this is what you do.

1. Wash hair with TRESSeme anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner.

2. Put special effects silk drops into hair then blowdry.

3 Take section by section and spray special effects flat iron spray onto hair then straighten.

Makes hair very silky and straight and shiny! Hope I helped! God Bless!

Hair straightening tips?!?

Chi's are great! BLow dry you hair staright first run a brush through it as you blow dry use there silk therapy or bio silk is awsome to keep it from frizzing! brush while you straighten! i do it every day and my hair is to my lower back and thick and curly!

Hair straightening tips?!?

My hair is the same way and it is pretty long, What I do...

I buy the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair type. "SIlk Elements" work well, Espcially the Kind for hair like mine "Dry and damaged" Also before you straighten it, Lightly glaze your hair in is stuff called "Silk" It is an oil like substance and it works really well, unless you drown your hair in it. You can find these products at and "Sallys beauty Supply" store.

Or I'm sure in any other cosmetology store.

Hope I helped.

Hair straightening tips?!?

Try looking for tips from fashion/hairstylist magazines or see a hairstylist.

Or get a hair straightener and a friend who is really good to straighten it for u.
