I have some great stuff you spray on your hair. You get it with any Chi straighting iron, or if you just want the spray go to google and type in chi. Youll find it on there.

Tips for straightening hair?

at bath and body works, there's product called Mop Shine Drops or something close to that. it comes in a little bottle that almost looks sort of like glue.

i put a few drops on my palm and spread it through my hair before i straighten it. it's supposed to just make your hair shiny, but it also protects it from burning if you apply it before straightening.

Tips for straightening hair?

use some kind of serum on your hair (like redken glass serum) when its wet before you dry it and then straighten it. I've been straightening mine for years and it won't hurt it.

Tips for straightening hair?

Well they have these new straightners that don't burn your hair or make frizz or take away the shine. I can't remember the name but they are supposed to be really good. good luck!

Tips for straightening hair?

Use hair products that protect your hair from heat. This way, you can lock in the shine and moisture your hair needs after you've straightened it. There are many products out there you can choose from-some are high end while others are drugstore brands. Which ever one you select, make sure you put it in your hair when it's slightly damp. Oh yeah, use john freida original hair serum after you're done straightening it. It makes your hair soft and smooth. Hope this helps!

Tips for straightening hair?

make sure before you always use a heat protector before you straighten your hair. My favourite is Redken Heat Glide, it is amazing and protects your hair from damage and split ends. Also try some leave in conditioner which will provide your hair with nutrients and minerals to keep it strong and healthy, than use a blowdry gel and than apply rhe heat glide. If redken is too expensive for you, try something from pantene.

Tips for straightening hair?

First of all get a 100% ceramic straightener with an adjustable temperature setting. Secondly, wash and straighten only once every other day. On the first day, wear it down, and on the second day, pull up the sides if it's not as neat as you'd like. Your hair will dry out more if you wash it every day. Thirdly, use a leave-in conditioner. I have naturally curly hair and straighten it. I do not use product in my hair. I found that my head is itchy if I do.

Tips for straightening hair?

you need a heat spray and or a serum! i have redken smooth down heat glide

Tips for straightening hair?

Well everyone basically said what I was going to say.

It all depends on how often you plan on straightening your hair. If you plan on doing it like 4 days a week, you're going to have to really protect your hair.

-Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

-You should deep condition your hair around once a week.

-Spray your hair with a thermal protecting spray before you put any heat on your hair.

-Make sure you have a good, quality straightener that won't damage your hair badly. Many of those from stores like Wal-Mart and Target aren't really completely ceramic straighteners.

-Get a serum for your hair. You can't completely protect your hair from damage. It will get some damage which half the time your stylist cuts off when you get your hair cut anyways. The serum will help smooth your hair and look shiny.

The more people are able to invest into their hair and hair products, the better their hair looks. That's just the truth. I suppose it all depends on how much you care about your hair.
