Straightening hair hair with curling iron?

Will this damage my hair? Let's say if I use it as a straightener for 5 days, will I get horrible split ends?

In other words, how long would it take to get my hair damaged (not that I want it damaged) and how bad?

I'm tired of my hair just being in a half ponytail just...there =s

um, i would just buy a regular hair straightener. to answer your question, a curler would damange your hair badly, even if you use protective straightening serum. invest in a good straightener like a CHI. theyre expensive but they last long and your hair will look amazing. :D

I have straighten my hair with a curling iron. though it takes more time and you have to be more careful so you dont burn yourself since curling irons dont have the back protected plates like flat irons do. but i use heat protected leave in conditioner and spray when i use a flat iron and that helps keep my hair healthy from using the heat on it
