They have hair straightening irons - like curling irons.

Hello, I am a hair dresser. If you go to a salon and keep your hair conditioned, chemical straightening will NOT mess up your hair. There are three other ways that I know off the top of my head and you can use any or all of them together.

1) Blow dry with a comb attachment or comb while you blow dry. Use straightening shampoo and conditioner (SunSilk) and blowdry lotion. Use a serum after wards (Garnier) to keep it straight longer and get rid of fly-aways.

2) Use a flat iron with straightening heat protector.

3) Get someone to hotcomb your hair. I strongly suggest that whoever does this is either a stylist or someone with lots of experience, because if the comb gets too hot, it will burn and damage your hair.

Hope this helped! Email me if you have more questions.

They now came out with a Chi Chemical Straightener, Ask your local Salon about it. I think it is around $200.00 and it takes about six hours to do. So make sure you have all day! : ) But it is proven to be less damaging than the regular chemical relaxer. And it doesn't actually fry out your hair. Other than that, there hasn't been anything else that I have heard of .

Good Luck.

Don't wear it straight or have it blowdried once a week with a round brush, and don't wash in between. Find a stylist in your budjet.
