I have highlights. Next week my mom is gonna do to permanent hair straightening thing. Is that too much chemical? Will it damage my hair?

it's chemical, it damage your hair but it feels much nicer.
It sound odd, but when hair gets straight, texture is a lot nicer.
about your highlight....it depends on how light it is, how dry it is. if its bleached, you don't want do that part.
you also want to deep condition a lot.
if you worry about damage, you want to go to the professional.
