I have kind of thick, curlyy/poofy/wavy hair, its about to half way down my back long after I straighten it. I use a conair straightner and it takes me around 30-45 minutes. Do you have any suggestions on how I could make my hair straighter faster?

The hair products you use have a great effect on your hair. I would start with Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo. If you plan on straightening your hair regularly, then I recommend using some sort of moisturizing/hydrating conditioner. Otherwise, you can either use a sleek and shine conditioner or another type of shampoo of your choice.
Once your hair is dry, I would follow up with Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. Brush through your hair with a paddle brush. It may be helpful to experiment with different types of bristles to see which works best with your hair. Finally, straighten your hair!
I have similar hair to yours and straighten my hair about four times a week. It takes about 20 minutes each time. Hope this helps!

You could go to a salon and get it professionally straightened. The price will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. I used to get it done when I was in high school. Your hair will smell funny for a day or two, but it's less of a hassle getting ready in the morning.

I know that you are going to think that I am crazed but my hair is down to my waist line and tight curls. I hate it. So what I do is after my shower I make sure that my hair is dry and I iron it on the hottest setting. I have to separate it in sections and use a cloth in one hand and a iron in the other and before I know it my hair is silky and straight. try it befor you think that I am crazy. Be warned though it may steam it is not going to burn it but do it as you would a shirt. DO NOT let the iron stay in 1 spot for too long.

There is a new stuff that salons offer right now which is the Hair Rebonding, you can try the milk rebond. The straightness of your hair wil last for 6 months but it depends on the hair type.

I suggest going to the hair salon and asking them to mat your hair, that will make it incredily straight. However, it will mae it too straight. When you go home after the salon give your hair a nice wash with shampoo that makes our bouncy and smooth. Then give it a nice brush. Really straight hair looks really really neat, so I suggest messing it up a bit like putting a few strands on the side of your head on to the back of it. It'l look really nice, trust me,my friend Katherine did it that way.

Doing it the night before works well for me. You are lucky. For me to get perfectly straight hair it takes about 2 hours. I prefer to make my hair cute and wavy with straight bangs because of this. Anyway. Try wearing it in a pony tail after washing it to reduce the curl. Then straighten it the night before then fix it the next day. This means you will be going over 24 hours without washing it: but some people say this is fine so that your hair will stay healthy and not dry out. You can also use creams and sprays to help assist in the straightening.

If you always like straight hair you might want to consider a Japanese straightening. It takes 4 to six hours to do but the results are incredible. Right out of the shower your hair is silky straight and feels healthier than before you straightened it.

When you get out of the shower, put some straightening cream through your hair. Then let it air-dry, which will help with the frizz and static. After it is dry, straighten it. Straightening it the night before will really help. Alot of people straighten their hair really fast, which ends up taking longer in the end cuz they have to go back and redo it, so take your time and do it well the first time. The next morning when you are ready, just straighten it. It will also help not to put your hair into a ponytail while you sleep.

Try seperating your hair into two different sides and then do it the night before. And when you get up you can just go over it once more! I think that you should get it permed because onc you get it permed it will stay straight for the next 3-4 months without curling up atall. Then go back to the salon!
